Fabulous All-Natural Peppermint Made Beautiful with This Product!
We use this product in our all-natural peppermint to give it a nice color without the neon-redness of artificial color. The product is great, although you have to use a little more than you think to get the color to take. However we don't mind because we'd rather have a clean product than something so shockingly red made with artificial ingredients. Great product and gets the job done! it makes very pretty color for lips
Bought it to tint my homemade lip balm. Not coloring oil - its color is only water dissolved. But when it dissolves, it makes very pretty color for lips. I dissolved it with water, filtered it through coffee paper and concentrated it by boiling. And add the concentrated extract to the lip balm material (oil + beewax) and added emulsifier to mix them in. It works perfectly!

Good stuff.
A little overpriced, but arrived quickly and did the job. Worked well for royal icing and mint melt-aways. We're used to the flavor and feel of natural food colorings, but definitely different from the chemical-laden ones. No strange taste and made a full array of shades from pale pink to deep beet. Would totally buy again!

Doesn't mix with lipids
Bought this for chapstick coloring... Mistake on my part because the chapstick is gritty and doesn't mix with the chapstick. I use it in my coffee shakes now so I can get extra blood flow during workouts. the coffee is really pretty though!

This imparts great, easy to control color in my soap making
This imparts great, easy to control color in my soap making. I've used in glycerine base and goat milk soaps. It smells a bit like earthy beats when you open the bag, but the smell doesn't survive mixing with the soap. What a great, natural way to add pink or red!

great for hair coloring purpose
Ordered this in hopes of adding some kind of “oomph” to my regular henna haircare routine. My usual henna blend gives me a dark auburn color with a coppery brick sheen; blending that 50/50 with this beetroot powder has bumped it to a burgundy color with a pinker sheen. The beetroot powder stains surfaces/materials a lot darker and faster than henna, so use with extreme caution! Is a bit grainy and makes a gelatinous texture when mixed with water but was manageable. Is packaged securely.

Useless for food coloring and smells horrible.
I am not a person who writes bad reviews very often.Even if I don't like a product that much but it is usable I will skip writing a review. But I was so disappointed with this item that I was compelled to write one!I would give this product no star if that was possible.I bought it with the intention to use it as a coloring agent in my homemade cosmetic products like blush and lip balm. This product is hopeless for coloring purposes. Even my turmeric powder at home gives better color than this. Not only is this useless for food coloring, it also has really horrible smell which I cannot even describe. I am not sure if it is good enough to be consumed internally especially because of the weird smell. That smell cannot be of beet root powder.I am throwing it in garbage.

Impossible to use for cosmetics.
Very strong beet smell (of course... because it's beer root) and is a beautiful color but incredibly grainy. Impossible to use as blush and I mixed some with a clear shimmery lip gloss to see if I could use it that way and it felt like sand on my lips. I'm going to grind it in my food processor to see if I can't get it to grind into a finer powder. I'm including a picture of the gloss when I wiped it off my lips to show graininess.
