Quality, wasn't disappointed. Great for projects

I was looking for a reasonably priced box for a set of SPST toggle switches (12v) for an LED lighting project for my RAM 1500 Express truck. This box was perfect for the job. I used rubberized paint to spray the box so that it would be quitter and look better. The switches work a set a white LEDs that run down under the rail and under my tonneau for nice light source wen loading at night. Another switches operates side amber LEDs that I custom mounted between my running boards and Body. This gives both my passenger and I targeted lights for getting in or out at night. since were both disabled, having these lights are bore good looking and a safety necessity. Other switches operate spot and flood lights for front, rear loading lights, and of course some under the frame lights for good looks.One reason I chose a metal box over plastic is that it is sturdier. Size is also important because of the number of switches and how it is mounted. Good price, good quality and good choice for this project.

Nice box. I used it to mount a camera to the outside of our RV. I only wanted to put 1 wire through the gel coat so this was just the thing. The only reason for 4 starts is that there is no seal on this box. This should include a seal but it does not.

I make my own specialty foot control pedals.These aluminium enclosures work for me.

I used this to mount an LED power supply, controller, and associated wiring. The box is of high quality construction and I expect it to last indefinitely. It's worth noting that the cover screw receptacles do rob some of the interior space, so make sure to account for this if your application has tight tolerances.

As far as I can tell, it's the same as a 1590DD sized box. Dimensions were as described and the lid fit perfect. It arrived on time with all the hardware.

This box was much heavier than I expected. It is too hard to work with and heavy for my application, plus the surfaces feels rough. I think this box is intended for something like a few heavy switches or such, but I wanted something to house a rather complex electronics Arduino project and this was just too heavy and difficult to work with. My only issue was that the cover screw holes are not tapped. You might want to get your own M4x16 countersunk screws and a tap instead of the crappy ones that come with the enclosure.
