Don't think twice about reading this book. It is full amazing women through history, in mostly severe adverse conditions, doing incredible work in the name of Jesus. Each story unique. Each story heartrending. Each story glorious. I feel microscopic in faith compared to these unassuming giants of their time. It is uplifting, you'll come away changed, and that's a good thing. Thanks to the author, the stories flowed beautifully. This is one you will read over and over. Amazing.

History is a great teacher and the story of these women is a learning experience. God's faithfulness, love and mercy so apparent. Thank you for writing their stories. Uplifting and Praise to our Lord and Savior.

This is a wonderful book of church history and the women who were so involved--mothers, daughters, sisters, queens, princesses, missionaries, and Christian women from all walks of life. It is easy reading, but filled with details and important facts. It takes one from the 1st century to the 20th century. The women chronicled here are inspirational and an encouragement for the readers. Many of them had a great influence on the spread of Christianity and its tenets. They loved God and their lives reflected it. Some were martyred for their faith in Jesus. Highly recommend it to you.

Most of us don’t understand what it means to trust God, but we can learn what that looks like through the stories of these godly women. And then when our trials come we will have reaped the blessings of having known their stories and faithfulness.

Gripping short stories of lesser known Christian women in church history. The stories can often be scary or violent because of the hostile presecution in some centuries but that's just the reality of church history. I've been slowly reading these stories to my two little girls and found it to be a helpful tool in starting important conversations and giving them powerful examples to grow them in godly character.

This book was inspiring, heart wrenching, and hopeful. All of these women suffered many things for the Lord. I encourage everyone to read this book.
