Soft outer layer w/effective waterproof protection
I've been using this brand mattress protector for years. I buy them for our home and for my kids who are transitioning into their own homes. I love how soft the top and doesn't feel like a stiff waterproof protector. Will continue to purchase this item for years as we need them.

Does not last 10 years
I like the mattress protector. Worked great when have sick animals on bed and have just placed my third order. But took one star off because they do not last 10 years; current one lasted 6 years before backing started peeling away. I think the first one lasted just about as long.
