753-05251 Carburetor for Walbro WYL-229 WYL-229-1 753-05251 753-1225 Troy-bilt MTD Trimmer Carb w/Fuel Line Kit

Pretty good deal . I ordered 3 of them . The first one did not work at all. Tried to get it work with out much luck and, at first was a bit worried. Then, installed a new second carb and, viola! Thing starts and runs better than when new. Seriously, the new carbs have a mixture adj. screw ( which the original did not have) and once you adjust it your weed wackier will have more power than when new. Great deal, but I suggest purchasing more than you think you need so that you can compensate for cheap Chinese manufacturing of these carbs. Some will work, others will not. Just Chuck the duds and keep right on going.

Not a direct match for TBE515 edger. Throttle cable connection is different but you can’t see that in Amazon photo. Can’t just pull the brass connection as the hole is a different size. Had to swap in my original throttle control into replacement carb.

Shipping was fast, arrived well packaged and undamaged. Only problem on my specific weed eater was the throttle cable did not fit the replacement’s throttle, fortunately the throttle on the original was not my reason for replacing and I simply swapped them out. Other than that it was a direct swap and after minimal tuning my weed eater starts, idles and runs full throttle with no hiccups. It’s the first day so time will tell if it lasts but I’m happy with my purchase.

Actually, the carb worked perfectly... However, shortly after the carb was replaced, the engine died of old age.I stripped down all the reusable parts, and am looking at what my future options are.

Fit my craftsman weed trimmer perfectly and ran like new. Great fit great price and fast shipping. I got 2 more just to have on hand.
