Chalet by Chateau Chalet Two 1-3/4 In Laminated Twin Pack Locks with Four Keys

I purchased these from a local storage management service when I needed to rend an additional space. The price was right and the customer service representative said that this was more than adequate protection at the facility because they had additional layers in the form of video surveillance, gated access and security fences.For uses in less controlled environments this is probably best suited as a deterrent (keeping honest folks honest) than a protection because it can easily be pried open and the shackles do not appear to be hardened. I certainly would not use this lock as my primary security in high crime areas. However, for my use it's perfect and affordable.The keys insert, rotate and remove smoothly. That is interesting because I also recently purchased some higher-end Masterlock brand locks and the keys were a little rough. The interesting part is these locks look as though they have been sourced from Masterlock and branded as Chateau. Or at the very least made in the same Chinese factory. Regardless, this is a high quality lock that uses the same laminated body design and some mechanisms as the more famous brand. If you are using it for secondary or deterrent protection it's a perfect solution. If you need a lock that is truly more secure this is not a good choice.
