This is a fantastic fertilizer and top-dressing. Make sure that you follow the instructions because it is extremely strong. You don't want to get nutrient burn because you don't follow the instructions

Powder - not granules
This is an odd product. The first thing I noticed is that the product is powdered, not granular. The second thing I notice is that it smells worse than most fertilizers; It has a strong fishy odor. The ingredients are mostly sea based (fish bone meal, kelp, etc...), which explains the smell.Consequently, it is not something you feel great using indoors even though it is indoor/outdoor use.The other thing that bothered me was the warnings and instructions...1st, it indicates you should mix it, but gives no information on what to mix it with or what ratio to use2nd, it tells you to apply it AFTER plants are in full bloom, which seems less than logical3rd, cannot find a country of originSince you are meant to use this in the "last stage of the bloom cycle", I'm not really certain what the purpose is.We have a short growing season, so waiting to fertilize that late would be odd for us.Using it indoors would mean worrying about the odor.Since it is not granular, you will also have to water it in carefully.Based on the ingredients, I'm guessing this will work as a generic fertilizer.Still, I would hope the manufacturer considers updating the packaging material to providemore guidance on the use and a more accurate description of the consistency of the product.

Great All Purpose Mix
I got this for my wife … she LOVES dirt.Pros:NaturalGood For LandscapingGood For GardenFertilizerFeeds PlantsCons:NoneWhat I received in the pacakge:1 x Bag of MOTHER EARTH Farmer’s Market All Purpose MixThis MOTHER EARTH Farmer’s Market All Purpose Mix product is a 4-5-4 mix. It is a granular plant fertilizer suitable for all plants, flowers and tomatoes. It comes in a 4.7lb bag that is roughly 8”x 5 1/2”x 12 1/4”.My wife absolutely loves foliage and gardening. She is always getting her hands in the dirt and loves to add new dirt that an enrich the soil and make her landscaping and garden more beautiful. She loves that this product is natural and derived from Feather meal, blood meal, fish bone meal, phosphate rock, alfalfa meal, potassium sulfate, bat guano, kelp meal (Ascophyllum nodosum), crustacean meal, magnesium sulfate. She said that you should wear a mask because the bat guano can get into your nostrils and stay there for a bit. I was not able to locate any warranty either in the item description or product information.I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All in all, my wife loved this product and I had to order more bags because it worked so well. There are cheaper products out there but especially for organic gardening … it’s nice to have an option that is not only good for you but the Earth.

Great company, great products
As a novice I'm still learning what I need to do to ensure healthy plants. This is my 3rd Mother Earth product. The high-end nursery that I used to love when I lived in the Bay Area carried all their products. They were pricier at the store than on amazon. I'm not sure if this is a product I "need" per say but I decided to give it a try. I want to compare it to the liquid Kelp fertilizer that I purchased when I moved to my new home in the mountains. I have to be careful with granular products because I do keep chickens. That said I will be using this product to start plants indoors and in the greenhouse (away from hungry hens).A note from another Mother Earth product that I got.....Don't let the cost of this stop you from purchasing. This is a high quality product from a well-loved company. Many high-end nurseries carry this brand and you will be paying more. This is a liquid concentrate so it will last you for a really, really long time. Be sure to read the instructions and learn about you plants particular needs and when to apply the fertilizer. There are several reviews that go into the details about this product so I won't go into that. The best thing I can recommend (as a novice myself) is to start a plant sheet for each of your plants. Write the information on when to fertilize, how much and how often. Keep notes on how each plant does. I keep the seed pack or photo of the plant clipped to each sheet. This is my first year doing this. I got the plant sheet on Etsy and then modified it to my needs. I then organize the sheets by month so that I can easily see what needs to be done that month. I also ordered the Master Gardener's Calendar from my local Country Master Gardener's organization. It gives reminders of what to do in your area each month. Great resource! Happy Gardening!
