Ok, this may be long winded, and possibly I didn’t give this mat the proper breaking in period,but my experience with it was short and painful. I purchased it to go under a litter box that had the hole in the top, and my two cats treated the new box like an alien spaceship. They wouldn’t have anything to do with it, but they did pee onto the mat, which responded by putting out a stench that filled the second floor. I scrubbed it off, which only intensified the smell. In desperation I poured bleach onto it, in hindsight a HUGE mistake. My eyes burned and I fled the room for fresh air. When the air cleared I rolled it up and sealed it in a trash bag, sadder but wiser. Whatever rubbery chemicals it’s made of cannot handle cat litter or urine, and if I used it wrong, my apologies, but I would rather deal with spilled litter than that smell!Update- 8/12/19While the item didn’t work out for me, customer service was excellent in staying in touch and issuing a full refund. I would buy from them again without hesitation.

An absolute no for me. My cat started tearing this thing to pieces! I'll have to find something more durable, like a rug or something. 🤦🏾‍♀️Maybe for a kitten or a older relaxed cat. My baby played with this like a toy.🐱

This mat looks very nice and it traps any litter my cat manages to take out of the box. When I first got the top entry box my cat pooped on the mat and it was easy to clean. It's not the largest mat our there but it fits my needs well.

Well, these are intended to trap litter and that is what they do, my house is less messy now.I have four others that were given to me for free as a promotional item with litter that I bought earlier this year, I loved them, and the quality was good. But I needed more. These matched the color of the freebies I got. The only issue is that these seem to be inferior quality to the free ones, I don't get it. They wash easy, take time to dry, but a bigger problem is how they were packaged, there is a fold down the middle, and even after having them on the floor now flat for about two weeks, there is still a crease in the middle. My cat is nearly blind, so it a bit problematic, but they seem to oooooh soooo slowly flatten out. they also have a plastic rubber odor and thus need to be aired out outside before using them with your cat. Anyway, my guess is each brand is going to have some issue. so.. for the price... yeah... not so bad.

I wasn't sure, after seeing the pix of the cat shredding the mat, whether this would be durable or not, but I'm really impressed. It is soft and flexible, and my cat doesn't avoid stepping on it, as he has done with other mats. It is quick and easy to clean--just shake it out over the trash can, and it traps loose litter better than the bath mat it replaced. And it is attractive. Some have mentioned the odor, but while it does smell like plastic, I can't notice the smell in the room. My ONLY complaint is that it comes folded in a plastic bag, so there are creases in it. I used a hot blow dryer on them before using it the first time, and now the creases aren't visible on the top at all; you can still see them a little underneath, but they don't hurt the function of the mat. I highly recommend this.

I have a 2 month old kitty and boy is she messy. We have to use no clump litter and it really hurts walking into the bathroom at 2am and stepping all over the tiny pebbles. Its sort of like having a toddler with Legos. This mat helped the scatter tremendously. I took these pictures after she used it once people, this is what I'm dealing with 😄I saw other reviews where they said nothing cleans the poop off...well, she's had plenty of accidents in the month I've had this thing and I have no problem removing dried up cat poo with degreaser. You can find it at Walmart. $7 just dilute with water and it lasts years, great for cleaning anything in the house.

Wish I'd gotten these years ago. Best litter trapper. Just hand vac litter off of mat. I got the beige/cream colored ones and you can't really see the litter on it. I highly recommend.
