The design is not quite what I was expecting and their sizing is a bit off. Our boy regularly wears a muzzle outside (compulsive eater), and he has been wearing an Ancol brand muzzle, which is quite well made but a bit bulky. This is a bit thinner plastic, and frankly the clip is a rather flimsy. My biggest problem though is the overall design. It seems better suited for dogs with shorter, wider muzzles, such as pugs maybe or bulldogs or Frenchies. I followed the sizing directions carefully using a tape measure and it said I should buy a size 2, but the dimensions of the muzzle are awfully small so I bought a size 3 which is still small on him.When properly fitted, a muzzle should rest maybe 2cm in front of the eyes and extend 1-2cm past the end of the nose. For safety they should be able to open their mouth, pant and drink while wearing it. For biters a stronger muzzle may be needed, but sizing should be the same. This muzzle is plenty wide enough, but only covers about 2cm past his nose. He was able to get it off easily (but then left it alone the second time, thanks to his training). He was able to both pant and drink while wearing it, which is essential, but it really isn’t long enough. My boy is Klein Poodle, about 11kg if that helps. I think they should add in the description that it’s better for dogs with short snoots.Update: I’m apparently not very observant. The muzzle pictured is NOT the one which was sent to me! That could explain the unexpected fit. This is the Trixie style muzzle my dog is wearing, but that is not what I ordered. Buyer, beware!

It's hard plastic and not very pleasant for the dog to wear I don't think.It hasn't rubbed but then I only need to use it for a couple of minutes at any time.Not sure I'd like my dog to wear it for any long length of time.Does the job tho.

This is a thin plastic with a bit of give in it.I bought it for my mini english bull as her triangular snout needs a wider muzzle than normal and i was able to squash the top down to widen it further. It,s not the most robust of muzzles and the straps/clasps are a bit thin. However, it totally does the job if you are looking for a light, comfortable muzzle that will stand up to moderate bad behaviour. I thought it was good for the money cost less than a tenner. If you've got a very aggressive dog though, you might be happier with a metal muzzle and this wouldn't be a good choice. Your dog will not be able to take treats through the muzzle though and not very good to drink through either.

Sizing so complicated that even ordering two different sizes both too small for my Labrador. Had to return at my expense to the US which makes trial and error expensive. Better design than others I've researched as comes lower down the face.
