Cantu Moisturizing Curl Activator Cream with Shea Butter for Natural Hair, 12 fl oz

After trying this curl revitalizer cream I had to review it. I can’t believe the price of this product! It has transformed my hair after one use. My hair is very healthy. I stopped coloring it over 2 years ago. I have used all the products and I mean all. This product defines my curls and creates clumps better than anything I’ve used. The photos show the definition and clump. My hair in the photos is how it looked when I woke up. I put my hair up in a pineapple and used a satin bonnet when I slept. I woke up and spritzed it with water. That’s it. I use a co-wash to allow me to go longer without shampooing my hair. In the photos I did a co-wash 2 days prior. I had not shampooed my hair in over a week. If you’re on the fence about this product then take the leap. It’s amazing!!!! It’s smells amazing, gives hair unbelievable definition, makes your hair soft not crunchy, softens and moisturizes your hair, and will keep its hold!! Unbelievable!

Hands down the best curl reactivator I've ever used! It usually takes me about a week to get my curl back to the way I like it after straightening it for a while. Not with this product! One use and my curl is back without the sticky, heavy residue! I will definitely buy again!

For reference - I have thick, very coarse hair between wavy and curly, typical 2c hair type. Very resistant, plus henna so very very non-porous.This product I used to refresh - my hair was stretched out and frizzy but overall shape and volume OK. I wet my hands and squirted a little bit in, maybe dime size? Raked and smoothed it in, repeated 3 times to cover all the hair, adding water as needed by wet hands. Scrunched ever so gently once all hair was damp and smoothed out. Could see the curls bouncing back up as this was going on. Diffused, mostly hovering around the hair not touching it. Then air dry without touching, then praying hands to smooth out the crunch.The product really helps the water to actually dampen the hair (mine is low porosity and can resist water when it's dry), and provides moisture and definition. The curls bounced back, are heavy but not in a bad way, very defined and strong and smooth feeling. Time will tell if it holds the day, but a radically successful refresh looks-wise. Picture is with it just barely damp, almost entirely dry. I regret no before image but it sure didn't look like this!I do not know if I will repurchase, though, because the scent is SO LOUD I cannot wear perfume for fear of it clashing, and it's so scented so close to my nose. I am not by any stretch of the imagination sensitive to fragrances, this is just an intensely scented product. Nice citrus orange smell, but it's like I've dipped my head in floor cleaner.

I have ethnic hair and have to be careful what products I used. This gently curls my hair, gives it a good shine, slightly gives it that “wet” look, lasts all day, smells great, and doesn’t break my scalp out. It’s the consistency of lotion, dries just enough to set the style in, but doesn’t make your hair hardened.

It worked for the curls but the scent was so overpowering I had to throw it away, if you are sensitive to perfumes don’t buy. I was expecting a shea butter scent but IMO it was a strong fruit/perfume scent that was too strong.
