Great purchase for my needs
I ordered this rack because it was the longest one I could find. I read the reviews and saw one that said to seal the joints against the weather and I decided to do just that. The first picture is with only one of the modular extensions that came with it making it 64 inches long. The mounting brackets that come with it fit perfectly on the roof of the luggage crossbars that are factory on an 04 Tahoe LT.The other two pictures are with both extensions added for the 84 inch length. The spacing between the bottom bars on the modular sections are different than the front and rear sections of the rack making the spacing between the factory side rails not line up completely right because the mounting hardware is for the front and rear section spacing between the base bars of the rack. Because of the way the factory kit was made, I was able to make it work and it's solid.I plan on putting the Suburban luggage rack on the roof of my Tahoe because it's longer and with the length needed to support the 84 inch rack, I could use the two cross members from the original, and then with the two on the Suburban factory one and have enough cross rails to support every section of this roof rack because of the four sections included for the full length. That way I'd feel more comfortable putting an extra spare tire and the gear needed for traveling.I was able to put this together easily and put it on my vehicle and secure it myself. It's sturdy enough to carry the weight advertised with no problem, welds could be better and complete, used two small tubes of sealant to keep it weather proof and I'm happy with the purchase. For the money it's worth it to me for extra space for road trips.

Started rusting within 2 months
I really loved this roof rack when I got it - it assembled super easily and fits A LOT of gear on the top of my 91 XJ - I just finished using it on a week-long expedition into the mountains and carried most of my outdoor gear on the roof without issue. The metal holds against the strain of weight and ratchet cargo straps holding gear to the roof rack.Complaint #1: As the rack shakes, it begins to slowly deform, requiring regular maintenance to keep the joints tight. If I knew how to weld, I would weld them all together.Complaint #2: Almost every single joint, whether its welded or slotted into place, especially among the central crossbars, is RUSTING. Admittedly the rack has been exposed to regular moisture (rain, snow) - but then, it's supposed to be on the outside of the vehicle, so...As a result of these two complaints, I will have to disassemble the rack, remove the rust, and paint the joints. Rust is a big, big sin - and so it is only the rack's sheer carrying capacity that raises it to 3 stars.

Worth It if You're Willing to Put in a Bit of Work
So I was very skeptical about this one at first and went back and forth about buying this or a good one like Yakima or Thule for my Subaru. But, I decided the cost here was worth a shot. If you get thi, before you even put it on go to home depot or Lowe's and get Rust-Oleum bed spray liner and spray the entire thing, let it cure for a day or two then put e everything together. It's been really rainy and humid in the couple weeks since I got this thing but it's held up right this far. I check it every day out of paranoia but it's doing well. The sturdiness of this thing is great out of the box and the net that comes with it is worth it. If you want a good rack and not spend upwards of $500 bucks this is the way to go just ensure you treat it before you put on.

Prep it and use it!
I bought this product knowing I will have to do some modifications. It came in a box with separate parts, easy to assemble. Before I put it together I bought sealer and rustproof paint and coated the whole rack and joints. After I let it dry I was putting sealer on all parts that joined together and screw holes. I let it set outside for 2 days. I have had great comments and made great use of it. I was able to put it on a 2016 4 Runner with no problems. Yes, you will have to paint and seal it and for the price and size I say it’s the best bang for your buck.

Plenty of Space
Love this basket! Gives my Jeep a really good off-road look and adds plenty of space. I added a video as well to demonstrate it.
