My perfect office-edc pants revived
I have been wearing various Vertx pants for over a decade now, starting with their original, and moving to their Hyde lines a few years ago. I was very annoyed when they discontinued the line, since they were, and are, the best pant design I have ever owned, and amazingly priced. Needless to say I was relieved to find the Cutback are basically the same pocket layout with "upgraded" fabric (personally I appreciated the relatively thin, pliable Hyde fabric). If Hydes were still offered at close to their original price I probably wouldn't bother with the Cutbacks, and I can't help but wonder if the model turnover was about justifying a price hike, but it doesn't matter because this pocket configuration is basically perfect. The beauty of Vertx over most tactical pant brands is they produce pants with tactical fabrics, features and pocket configurations that don't have obvious EDC aesthetics. It does tends to lead to expensive pants and functional compromises, but it produces tailored pants I'm comfortable wearing in a business casual atmosphere. I might not work with my hands for a living, but I still can't get through the day without at least 5 pockets, and the Hyde/Cutback provides that critical cargo pocket as a "skinny" pocket on the side of the leg, perfectly sized for a key fob, and keeping it out of the forward presentation or from interefering with driving. The leg cuff reinforcement is another nice feature, I tend to wear minimalist shoes often, which creates problems with stepping on the rear part of the cuff. The high wear reinforcement keeps fraying and discoloration minimal and looks handsome to boot. It also makes hamming difficult, so I've learned to put in the effort to find the proper inseam length.Last but not least the fit is great for someone whose managed to stay in shape and wants to make that fact obvious in his clothing choices. Not to throw shade, but my Dad is a bigger guy and his 5.11s work with that, I intend to wear Vertxs as long as I can get away with it.In conclusion, if there's one thing the Hyde-Cutback transition taught me, its that supply chain issues, model turnover and price hikes are just facts of life in the premium clothing market. When you find a model you really, really like, if you can afford it don't buy one pair with the expectation of adding others later if you can afford it, 6-12 months later there might not be a later.

Awesome pants
I love these pants. I have 4 pairs that I wear to work everyday. I’m a veterinarian and I am up and down, on and off the floor with my patients all day long. Typical work pants for me last maybe 6 months before the knees wear through or seams give out on the rear pockets. These have lasted over a year without even a thin spot worn in the knees. The fit for me is perfect. I wear a 30x30 and they couldn’t fit better.Pocket access is great, I carry a pocket knife everyday to work and if I’m wearing these out of the office I can slip another folder or small fixed blade in the extra pockets on the sides. The thigh pockets hold my iPhone 14 without the top poking out (not sure what was up with the review of the pocket being too shallow to carry his phone).Overall I love them and I’ll probably pick up some extras just in case they start to show the work I’ve put them through.Update 5/9/24 - 2 pairs have finally worn through on a single knee. 2 are still going strong. Unfortunately, they do not appear to be available on Amazon anymore. New quest to find a suitable replacement now.

Nice material, somewhat weird fit and length
Vertx pants are a good choice if you need some functionality with a lower visual profile than say 5.11s or some of the more overtly tactical looking pants. I recommend going up at least one size if you want a slightly looser fit in the thigh. They are not slim fit by any means, but they do lean closer to fitted than regular or loose. However the material does have some stretch to it which is nice. The length is weird. Although a 32" inseam is what I wear in nearly all pants, I find 32" a bit too short for me with these. I suspect 34" would be way too long. When seated, the cuff of the pants is well above my ankles.

Go Ninja go ninja go!
Ok so I own 7 pairs of these pants... I am currently wearing my oldest pair (gray) as I write this. I have worn and washed these so many times that you can almost see through the fabric on the knees but there are still NO EFFING RIPS! Plenty of roofing tar and paint stains but these pants are insanely well made. IDK how anyone could complain about the quality in any way. Fit is great, comfort is great, and other than straight up jeans these are the most durable pants I've ever owned. That's why I have 7 pairs. My only complaint is that they can't keep the colors I want in stock. As far as the price goes you get what you pay for. To me it is well worth it due the quality. If you want cheap pants go to Old Navy. The VertX backpacks are also great.

Great Everyday Pants
I love these pants. I originally ordered these to wear as everyday pants and ended up wearing them as uniform pants as well. They are amazing. They are lightweight but durable and they hold their color very well. I have been rained on in these pants and they dried very well and extremely quick. The pockets on them are amazing and well laid out so they are very functional. If I haven't already said it, they are amazing. 10/10 recommend!

Very nice product
Purchased these after seeing a review. Very please with the pants. Very comfortable, with a little stretch. When climbing or stepping up where most jeans would start to get tight in the crotch and feel like they are going to rip, these allow more stretch. All the extra pockets allow me to carry items in my pockets more comfortably. I used to carry my phone in rear pocket and had to remove it all the time to sit down. The right side hip bone pocket is a great place to carry a medium sized phone and still be able to sit down without issues and fear of breaking the phone. They are more expensive than cheaper jeans, but so far I have no regrets. I was concerned that they would look like tactical cargo style pant, but thats not the case. The denim pants don't look like tactical pant and blend in nicely. Have purchased 2 other pair since.

Very disappointed
Bad qaulity stitching and poor qaulity control not what you'd expect for £90
