Colourful counting and stacking
This sturdy and brightly coloured wooden stacking/counting toy comes complete with 45 rings. There are also 10 detachable numbered tiles which are coloured to match the colours of the rings and slot neatly into spaces in front of the posts for the rings; a finger slot is cut into the tiles to make them easy for little fingers to extract. One thing that immediately struck me was the inclusion of zero as one of the numbers - this is rarely seen but is a great addition to a counting toy, ensuring the concept is part of children's counting from early on; it also means the tile can be added to the other numbers to extend counting to 10, 20, 30 etc. Children's manipulative and fine motor skills will be developed by using the rings and stacking them, and colour recognition also learnt. The toy offers plenty of opportunities for adults to develop their child's learning, through asking them to sort colours, count out rings or match the number on the tiles to the rings, for just a few examples. The base includes dot counts for each number under the tiles. The pegs are all different, appropriate, heights and this makes stacking the correct number of rings easier for younger children, and they will learn the concept of taller and shorter - or they will just enjoy making pretty colour patterns! With so many rings, all sorts of shapes and patters can be created. The bright colours are durable and just as good as anything plastic - and sustainability is key (and we all know the importance of reducing plastics use). When finally outgrown, can be added to a keepsake collection for future generations. It looks really lovely displayed in a child's room too.

Great gift
Bought several of these for young grandchildren. Lovely presentation and feel to the toy, and the kids took to it immediately. Only issue is the beads. They are just small enough to go fully into a young mouth. Really need to keep an eye on them when playing.

Keep a toddler entertained
Keeps a toddler entertained... but a bit to expensive as it's a very small product.

Nice but a bit expensive
Nice colours, rings as well as whole toy are quite small which I did not like initially but it is actually easier for baby to grab and hold. I like it, baby seems to like it but it should be cheaper in my opinion, it is made in China. It arrived with scratches on paint at the base (see last few photos), it is odd as it was well packed and wrappped in foil. It says suitable for 1+, I agree.

Colourful stacker
This is a really well designed set for toddlers, with great attention paid to safety and durability. There are five pegs affixed to the solid wood base and chunky rings which are easy for little ones to handle. The chunky rings come in five colours (1 pale blue, 2 dark blue, 3 green, 4 yellow and 5 red) and they match the colours on the base, giving toddlers experience of colour matching. Young ones can count up to 15 as they go and as children get older, they can learn to take away as well as learning the concepts of more and less. The clever feature comes with the flexible pegs which are secured by strong string to the base, meaning the pegs will bend if a baby fell on it - a really reassuring safety feature. It's extra fun for the child too, as they 'ping' the pegs over... and over... and over. It's also an ideal toy for developing hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills. The toy is suitable for 1year and up and Toys of Wood Oxford sensibly advise that parents or other adults are present to supervise and enjoy the interaction of children with this toy. It's a really well made toy, chunky and very satisfying to play with, and the vibrant paint colours make it very attractive.

Great first counting toy
Great counting toy, bought for a third birthday and he’s taken to it immediately and is identifying the numbers largely because he can match the colours up. Wasn’t able to do this prior to using. Only gripe is some of the wood not perfectly finished so a few raw edges and the number 8 and 9 colour is very close so it’s a little hard for the child to differentiate but otherwise great value

Really fun but
It's a really fun toy and my son loves it but always keep an eye on your little one because if they're anything like my kid they will try to put the rings inside their mouth
