Fief - France 1429 is a game of dynastic ambition, where players lead noble families in the medieval Kingdom of France. Each family is comprised of noble lords and ladies that strive to attain Royal and Ecclesiastical titles through intrigue, diplomacy, marriage alliances, betrayals, and war. These titles not only gain your family wealth and power, but also influence in determining the next King of France and Pope... A sign of true power and the basis of a new French dynasty! Fief - France 1429 includes: A large mounted map 90 x 46 cm; 6 Noble Family Mats; 18 Lords and Ladies with Bases; 6 Wedding Rings; 5 Holy Relics; 10 Royal Titles (Barons, Counts, Dukes, Queen, and King); 10 Ecclesiastical Titles (Bishops, Cardinals, and Pope); 78 Men at Arms; 48 Knights; 12 Siege Engines; 15 Mills; 12 Strongholds / Fortified Cities; 12 Vote Markers; 2 Assassins Markers; And much more! The Fief Expansion Pack includes five expansions. Tactics includes new units such as archers, bombards, mercenaries, and the royal guard. The Crusades allows you to send family members to the Outremer to gain titles and riches. Teutonic Knights Expansion adds the military and political power of the Teutonic Knight troops and the Grand Master and Teutonic Knight titles. The Templars Expansion includes a Templar Grand Master counter, Templar counters, Royal Edicts, Templar Knight troops, and Commandery Building counters. The Politics Expansion gives your family members a personality trait which could be a help or a hindrance to your political and religious ambitions. Included are Noble Attribute cards and Attendent tokens. The Fief Buildings Pack includes finely detailed plastic 3-D models with 12 Strongholds, 8 Fortified Cities, 15 Mills, 5 Commanderies, and 5 Teutonic Knight Strongholds. This is enough to replace all of the cardboard tokens which come with the base game. These jump off the board and look great painted or unpainted. See the Boardgamegeek.com for more pictures.
B**Y
but I realize others may not like the game as much as I do
If I were rating the game I'd give it 5 stars, but I realize others may not like the game as much as I do...and that's okay...I suggest you review the game on BGG.com to see what you think of it...most who don't like it have a problem with random. I find the fun in the epic theme and that it always comes down to an epic end...it the game I've had the most fun losing...I hope you enjoy it as it is...
