A non-timelapsed video of someone clearly just going through the motions and that you didn't have to stop in order to read the instructions would be helpful, or perhaps some instructions. The directions on some of the bottles read like a google-translated version. As it is I ended up going online and watching a couple videos to get the general idea, though there was nothing for this particular kit. In the Amazon product video it showed using the same one cloth that came in the kit to do all the cleaning, which would not be good in the long run, so I tore up some old cotton rags to use for the various components as I really didn't want to inadvertently destroy a violin with this kit. For example, at first glance I thought the rosin remover would be used on the bow, and I'm glad I found other videos that made use of it and showed me that it was for rosin that caked onto the violin body from playing, NOT for the bow (as shown in the product video, right after they applied liquid rosin...)In short, nice looking kit, needs directions and a better video to be of use.

Really good for cleaning and polishing instruments. Only problem is the kit did not come with very clear instructions. Most of the individual products had vague instructions but some had none whatsoever.

So I'm what you might call a hobbyist player. Not an expert by any means... but I was very not impressed by this set. The left photo is before the cleaning and the right is after. There really isn't that much improvement. I felt kind of meh about the cleaner and also the wax. Neither did a whole lot. The liquid rosin, however, I will never use again. It literally glued the hairs on my bow together. The sound quality was laugable. I was able to break them apart by applying my regular rosin and kind of massaging everything out.... but that was super not cool. Also, I have a cheap humidifier noodle that I got in high school and it's actually a better quality than the humidifier that came with this set. I am very disappointed with this collection. I will not be using any of it again.

For every violinist, you need the cleaning tools to keep your instrument presentable and easier to play. This is a great kit, and my daughter is finding it easier to maintain her violin with all the items in this kit!

Got this violin polishing kit for our daughter. She has been playing violin for about a year and a half. She said she really needed to polish her violin. The kit seems to have everything you would need to polish and maintain the basics of a violin. There are two types of polish for the wood, a liquid rosin, an oil for the metal strings to prevent rusting, a thing that is used in humid areas to soak up moisture, a clean cloth and a brush. We used the liquid rosin on the bow. It was easy to apply. We don't really need the things that help with rusting and moisture as we live in a very dry desert area. We did use the liquid polish rather than the bees wax. I've supplied some before and after pictures. It's hard to tell a difference from the photos but my daughter says she is very happy with her nicely polished violin.
