Q: Will this system fit all mr heaters?

No, the "hook" will not clip onto the guard of my Big Buddy that I purchased 5 years ago. Maybe the guard design changed?

Q: Why did it stop workings? How do I make it start working again?

I had an issue once with dust clogging mine up. I use some canned air made for cleaning computers, blew everything off really well, and it came back to life. I blow mine off when ever I see dust collecting and I haven't had any problems anymore.

Q: What material is the fan made of?

It feels like some type of aluminum. The base is pretty solid. The fan blades will bend, but you can bend them back, they are not flimsy, but bendable. This feels like it kicks out about 2x as much heat from the heater.
