No worries about this holder.
After reading the reviews that said the mount was light weight plastic I was concerned about the strength of the part. Other later reviews said it was heavy duty plastic. I decided to take a chance and I’m glad I did. This thing is a beast. You can break anything if you try and you would have to try very hard with this to destroy it. The clamp is the only plastic part on this other than the hand piece holder and that should never get much stress. The clamp is not just plastic. It seems to be some sort of fiberglass. Very heavy duty. I can’t see it breaking with anything other than excessive daily abuse. If it does break I will weld the heavy hex rod to a c clamp and then be good forever. This is worth the money without question.

Well designed hanger.
This stand easily holds two flexible shaft rotary tools. It is easy enough for one person to have access to both tools, or two people to each use one at the same time. It is simple, well designed, and very sturdy. The motor hanger clips stay put. They have never moved even under the vibration and torque that some of these heavy-duty motors can test them with. The desk clamp does not have quite enough opening to clamp onto my extra thick workbench top (it is made from 2x6 lumber ripped in half and glued together, so it is over 2 1/2" thick), but I solved that by putting the bottom section in the woodworkers bench vice. When done with whatever I am using it for, I simply loosen the vice and move the hanger and rotary tools to where I store them.

Does the job perfectly. It is too expensive though and that lost it a star.

I read some reviews about the plastic and did not want the 3 sections as I though it'd not be sturdy but I was wrong
MUCH nicer than I thought it'd be!I read some reviews about the plastic and did not want the 3 sections as I though it'd not be sturdy but I was wrong. A real brute that will last for decades. The clamp is plastic and I was concerned but it has metal threaded inserts and tightens up nicely. I imagine it could be broken but it's pretty heavy plastic, the kind that looks like it is fiber glass reinforced. A non issues.Looks like Foredom has ditched th one piece. They used to sell it with a caveat it would only be shipped to lower 48 as the long box was always damaged in transit. Now that option seems gone. Having had both this one is just fine.HTHEP

Just what I needed
This item is just what is needed to hang and use a rotary tool. Easy to assemble and very strong and hefty as needed

Clamp broke!
Clamp broke right away while screwing to my bench! I dont believe i was over tightening. Contacted Foredom customer svc..waiting for a reply. Will update. Can’t comment on rest of stand as i cannot install without clamp.UPDATE….After 2 phone calls, 2 emails, and a few weeks..Foredom did send me a new clamp. It does appear to be either a repaired one or factory second, however, it works. The replacement is not plastic like the original, rather some sort of cast material. Not very heavy, so not sure of the material. For now, its holding strong, with the double hanger, the 2 motors are heavy on this, so being secure is kinda important. As for the rest of the stand, i can now comment because i can actually use it now. It comes in 3 sections that have 2 joining pieces held together with a tiny set screw. I wouldn’t think this setup would be sturdy/strong enough, but it is. The little safety clampy things that go on the crossbar at top where motors hang, are a PITA, real hard to get on, with there was a better gadget for that. The handpiece holder…i was excited for this little gadget,.. not worth its weight in ??. It’s a solid device, just doesnt work well to hold the handpieces, not a very good fit for them. Minor importance , but as a ‘set’, included in this purchaser, ok whatever. I definitely would NOT purchase this separately, and ultimately removed it from my setup. It’s now in a pile of unuseful tools. Maybe ill find a use for it, well see.

poorly designed clamp for attaching the pole to workbench
The clamp foot on the bottom of this pole has a rubber/cloth pad. The pad slowly slid off of the actual clamp foot allowing the entire pole to fall along with my brand new Foredom rotary tool which slammed onto my concrete floor in my workshop. The impact shattered the internal fixed magnet of the motor. All this with less than 1 hour of time using the tool. I am very experienced with tools having working with a large variety of them over the past 20 years so this was not a case of me not tightening the clamp. The clamp was tightened securely, but the pad slowly pulled off probably due to the torque on the pole with the motor hanging on it. Now I have to try and get my foredom rotary tool fixed or replace with with another one. Not trying to bad mouth anyone here, just trying to keep others from suffering the same fate as I. I will still use the pole, but I will change how it attaches to my workbench before I use it again.

Good product
I added hose clamps, above and below the base to make it more sturdy

Calidad
Mucha calidad, excelente diseño y uso doble, que mas podemos pedir? Otros soportes están bien para otros aparatos, pero estás Son motores pesados y es para dos, además de poder mantener el cabezal en su duro y no colgado es un extra.

The pictures do not do it any justus , much heavier and sturdier than it looks .

Its almost a good product but it has big issues
The rods for the stand are made from very nice steel hex bar. The two couplings that join the three pieces together have an incredible amount of slop in them. I can move the top of one section of rod back and forth 5/8" with the set screw loose. Its twice that with two rods in place. This should be a tight slide fit, as it is it relies entirely on the small setcrew to carry the loads for the entire structure. I see problems down the road. Theres no reason for the joiner couplings to have such a sloppy fit, it makes the whole thing feel cheap and poorly made. The clamp that holds it onto the bench is made of plastic, its heavy duty but it still deflects some as you tighten it up. I'm a liscensed industrial and part time jeweler. I know how to put things together. I tightened the clamp as much as I dared by hand for fear of breaking it. It seemed fine for the few hours I was at the bench. I came back this morning to see my flex shaft motor and stand lying on the concrete floor. It had fallen overnight. My brandnew flex shaft motor is making a new noise as a result. I need to inspect it further for damages. Theres a rubber gasket in the top of the clamp, it had detached itself somehow. The hardwood bench it was attached to had no marks or gouges from where it was attached so it wasn't the table. I reinstalled it without the rubber gasket and again tightened it by hand. On the adjustable side of the clamp i put a piece of steel to perhaps help spread the load and help it some. Its a very narrow clamp and I don't trust it for one flex shaft let alone the two its meant for. The clamp should be 2-3 times as wide to carry the loads properly. I fear bumbing the upright and having it break. The way the hex rod installs and tightens into the clamp means it will always be at a funny angle rather than vertical. It needs a spacer at the bottom of the clamp to take care of this design shortfall. Make sure you install the couplings with the setcrews on the same plane or the angles will look worse. The plastic piece the handpiece is supposed to mount to doesn't fit as it should. The handpiece will go in it and stay, more by happy accident. I don't know what the original intention for it was. I'm disappointed, I purchased this with the expectation I was going to recieve the best stand on the market. Instead I recieved this...
