Clothesline works well and the locking mechanism underneath helps keep the clothesline taut. The plastic housing is a little flimsy and separates on the bottom. So, when trying to reel the line back in it gets caught in the crack that forms when the two sides separate.

I was hoping this would be heavy and durable like my last one. . .but it jammed several times when I was finding a place to install it. It is not as large or as heavy duty as my last one. I would have kept it if it hadn't jammed several times before I even used it.

Have been used this nice gadget for about two months. My mom loves it. We have a lot of sunshine in Arizona, especially during the summer. My mom prefers drying clothes under sun instead of using dryer. The installation is very easy, and the length can be adjusted quickly. The line is sturdy and strong, to support bunch of clothes.

We just moved to a new house with a large covered patio that enjoys a direct west-facing orientation. I have waited years to be able to hang my clothes (especially sheets and blankets) outside to dry! Because our home doesn't allow for permanent clothes lines, the fact that I can retract the line and remove the whole thing is perfect. It holds blankets and towels, wet swimsuits, etc. The key is to hang it high enough that as the weight of the clothes pull the line down a little, they don't touch the ground. I love it!

I got this to replace one that was 10 years old. I use it mainly to air dry my king size mattress covers, but it comes in handy for beach towels, or anything you don't want to put in the dryer. Comes with screws and wall plugs so you can mount it just about anywhere, just remember to wind the line around the bottom to hold it tight. wish the line was a bit thicker but that might interfere with the winding mechanism.

easy to use in my basement which is heated. I use for my sons work out clothes, sweaters and some of his slacks which can not go in the dryer. it is retractable so that is convenient when not in use. I am really hoping it holds up with use.

It works great but I wish the method to secure the line tight were better. It takes a few tries each time to get it tight enough to not let the line sag. Something more like an iron or measuring tape lock would be awesome.

Perfect for what we need. A small retractable line that can easily be taken down so the lawn guy does not get beheaded.
