ABUS lock and chain combination Granit Detecto Xplus 8008/12KS120 - Motorbike lock with alarm function - security level 20, black

Thanks to Amazon I got this in rapid time. As others will testify, it is a superb lock. I bought the same one last year without a chain. Make no mistake the lock is very heavy which is what you need of course. The chain slots into the lock and on a Honda CMX500A it will also fit on to the disc - both chain and lock. Perfect when travelling away from home. It also lends itself for locking a full face helmet.The CR2 battery on my last 8008 lock lasted for one year. Buy a pack of two just in case, they have a long shelf life. Another tip is to make sure the screw for the battery housing can be loosened. If left over winter it can get a little stuck.As for the alarm. It is quite loud and it’s best to practice fitting off the bike with something like a screwdriver or flat bar to get used to how to get it on without triggering the alarm.Another quality product from Abus.

I wasn't sure if this was too good to be true... but it is.. comes with an ABUS 8008 granate disc lock and a lasso type hardened chain. much cheaper than buying separately.

Heavy duty and solid build. Great deal to buy together. Disc lock fits perfectly in rear cowling of seat and is the right amount of sensitive to movement.

This is a very heavyweight and solid alarm-equipped disc lock with a special chain that has a loop at one end and a special link at the other unique to fit into the lock.This means that you can either use the alarmed disc lock on its own, or for additional security use the chain too.The chain is strong, but light enough to be portable and because of the loop you can attach it to a solid fixed object a metre or so from your bike wheel, without a much heavier two metre long chain.The lock itself is pretty hefty and comes with a zip up padded case and two keys, one of which has an LED light built in to help find the keyhole in the dark.To use the two together you slide the special end link on the chain into the slot on the lock and then put the lock onto the disc as normal. This takes up some of the space available for the disc, so it may not fit all discs. See photo for specs. I can confirm it fits front and rear discs on a KTM 1090 Adventure and the front disc on a Yamaha MT09. The bolt on the lock is really thick at 16mm so some little/odd bikes may not have a hole able to accept it. It should fit a disc upto 60mm wide alone, but with the chain link inside this reduces the space by about 6mm, still plenty big enough for my bike but it depends where the holes are too so worth measuring.My only complaint is that the movement sensors in the lock activate very quickly so you need to practice putting it on or it will set the alarm off straight away. It also beeps very loudly when you put it on to tell you it's armed, and that might annoy your neighbours especially if you have cold wet hands and fumble it setting the alarm off (it stops instantly when removed from the disc though).Overall a great 3 in 1 combination of alarm, chain and disc lock ideal for commuting or touring where a heavier chain isn't practical.

Sadly mine came damaged the back battery cover isn’t great but does a good job. Very bulky.

Love the products it’s just a shame that the chain the disk lock came with doesn’t fit in combination on the disk lock on an R6.I am unable to use both at the same time as the Abus disk lock slot park isn’t long enough to fit the chain part to disk lock on the disk.

Bloccadisco e catena molto solidi e robusti, e di conseguenza molto pesanti. Sicurezza elevata. L'allarme acustico non è il più potente ma si fa sentire.

Utilizzato su scooter :Yamaha Xmax300 anno 2023/24 (display digitale)Premessa :Acquisto effettuato dopo anni di utilizzo di altri lucchetti (anche ABUS) ed aver visionato molti video sia di test di taglio che di furti reali di moto.Analisi scelta lucchetto:Va scelto in base al valore del veicolo da preservare dal furto, dalla zona dove vivete e quanto tempo sta parcheggiato all esterno.Recensione:Costo:Pagato 201 euro blocca disco ABUS con annessa catena molto robusta.Praticità:Prima si infila la catena attorno a un palo/qualcosa di fisso a cappio come in foto poi inserite l aggangio nel blocca disco ed anche il cavo giallo di segnalazione che deve essere già fissato intorno alla forcella. Solo alla fine inserite il blocca disco nel disco se no suona l allarme sicuramente. Avete 4 secondi per chiuderlo prima che suoni e all inizio soprattutto vi succederà che suona perché anche se rapidi con la chiave ogni tanto vi si blocca un attimo e per quando pratici siete parte l allarme. Niente di cui preoccuparsi, appena riuscite a chiuderlo smette.Robustezza dai test taglio e furti:Dai test su riviste specializzate la catena , in laboratorio e in morsa con la mola viene tagliata in 22 secondi, nella realtà sarà molto più lungo. Con le trance da 1 metro non si taglia. Poi tagliata la catena il blocca disco è impossibile da aprire sul posto, ci vogliono quasi 5 minuti in laboratorio ed in morsa. Quindi per rubarla sollevano l anteriore e via nel furgone col blocca disco che suona a 100 Db.Io per evitare questo consiglio vivamente a tutti di legare anche la ruota posteriore, per farlo ho usato un archetto ABUS Extreme (pagato 170 euro) questo perché per rubarlo essendo chiusa davanti e dietro ci vogliono almeno 4 persone per sollevare lo scooter ed un furgone ed il tutto è reso più difficile.Conclusione:Non troverete un lucchetto per lo scooter più completo di questo catenaccio temprato+ blocca disco robustissimo con allarme. Ma se siete terrorizzati come me per il furto del vostro nuovo scooter legate anche la ruota dietro con un archetto protezione massima.Spero di esserti stato utile.
