it works really well.Being a solid piece of Aluminium it is incredibly thermal conductive.It has a rippled texture on the underside for increased temperature dispersion (Think of any kind of heat-sink for cooling anything)It has a reverse cambered shape allowing any liquids to flow into a dado in the centre of the board not causing a pooling effect.The one issue is that it does not have an incline in any direction thus the liquid does pool in the central dado. To counteract that I place Tupperware container lid underneath one side on the sink so that the liquid flows the opposite direction of the lid and into the sink thus not cross contaminating the sink top and not spillage when you attempt to pick up the plate once thawing is complete.

First of all, it provides a place to defrost the food that I don't need to find a plate or bowl every day.And the design is good as well.Looks like it does accelerate the defrosting. The meat is becoming soft faster than before. Also, the inside of it is defrosted quicker.

Tested the tray and thaws a steak in just under 2 hours, works as advertised, good product.
