Great for EDC
So I have sung the praises in another review of the Miguron ; however, this is also my favorite knife, but for other reasons starting with the handle. I purchased the black micarta version, which I really like. I like micarta and theirs has a good balance of grippiness without feeling rough. The pocket clip is OK. It’s not my favorite, but it works well enough. It clips well and does not slide around. It doesn’t grab fabric too badly. I can easily wear these in a pair of gym shorts and not have any problems. I like that the blade on this is 154 CM, which is a very good semi-high-end steel. I love the blade style of this. It’s a very good utilitarian blade. I actually like using this at work, just the nature of what I do, having to cut products off of rollers. This works very well. The ergonomics on this knife are absolutely spectacular with the slightly up, raised handle. It allows your hand to just fit right up and choke up is a breeze. There’s plenty of jimping along the spine in several locations, which allows you to use several different grips without worrying about slipping off. Now, to be honest, I purchased this mostly because I have bulldogs. I like bulldogs. I purchased the Sheepdog. I really like that, but overall, I actually really do like this knife. It’s a great utility knife, great for everyday tasks that most people are going to perform that may not be super steel, but it’ll hold an edge long enough. It’s not terribly bad to sharpen this. The crossbar lock or whatever Kizer call it is one of my favorites. The tension on this one is set perfectly at least for me. Deployment is very easy with the thumb studs, and it closes very smoothly. This is probably one of the best crossbar lock knives that I’ve purchased. I’m thinking about purchasing another one just in case this model disappears. If they made one with S45, Magnacut cut or M3 90 as a higher-end version, I would definitely buy it. This is a fantastic everyday carry knife. Go get one.

This Knife is Insanely Good
This is my favorite pocket knife of all time. Even putting it up against some of my favorite Spydercos like the Para 3, Shaman, and Manix 2, I just find myself reaching for this one every time. The ergos are insanely good. The handle just disappears in your hand, and is equally comfortable in both hammer and reverse grip. The action and detent out of the box are absolutely flawless - far better than one would expect from a knife at this price point. The blade comes with a good edge and is very slicey. The few things I'd change about this knife in a perfect world:- I'd like to see a version with a slightly longer blade, maybe an extra .25"-.35"- A top liner button lock as it was originally prototyped by the knife's designer- A more premium blade steel- Slightly more aggressive jimpingI'd happily pay double the price or more for those features.I really hope Kizer continues to iterate on this design because it's a winner. If you're on the fence about it, you should 100% buy one.

High build quality and sharpness
I have owned a lot of knives, both expensive and cheap. High tier brand names to silly named off-brand knives. This knife is awesome. I honestly think for the quality, more money could be charged, but I’m appreciative of the lower price. This knife is razor sharp out of the box. I lightly bumped my finger on the blade when I was careful closing it and it sliced right into me.

Not as good as the uncoated version
I bought the original bulldog in micarta and satin and I have to say, the action on that variant was much better. This is still a decent knife. It's very good looking and has amazing ergos. Mine came plenty sharp and the fit and finish are excellent as per usual with Kizer knifes. The thumb studs are larger than the previous models which will be better for some people. There cross bar lock is adjustable and easy to operate. The opening and closing action is just a little sluggish, hopefully it breaks in. Unless you are set on the black coated blade, by the other versions.

Great little cutter
Really licking this blade. This knife works perfectly for slicing of paper or cutting up used Amazon boxes. The shape of the handle it works great for cutting small pieces of wood when you setting up your tent or tarp makes great pegs. There's is two spots in the top of the blade with really nice placement of gimping. Makes it easier to grab. The only thing I'm not really crazy about is the handle. The handle is great you allowed to get a good four finger grip without choking up on the choil, however the pocket clip kind of digs in your hand a little bit and that I'm not crazy about. Maybe some aftermarket clips might fix that.

Some likes, more dislikes
Love the shape, weight and feel of the knife in hand. What I don't like: I got the green micarta handled version and I'm not sure where people think that it has a nice grip to it. Man, that thing is slicker than snot on a door handle! Sharp? Not as sharp as I'd hoped based on the reviews. My Civivi's came way sharper. Almost no blade retention while closed. I can hold it at one end and barely flip it and the blade flies open with ease. Almost feels as though there's not much of a detent device to hold it closed. I'm concerned it will open in my pocket without me knowing. Had that happen with another brand knife and sliced my hand wide open getting keys out of my pocket.... I'll likely be returning for a different sheep's foot style knife.
