Aerobie Orbiter Boomerang

Had an aerobie pro when I was young and loved it, then at school a friend introduced me to the aerobie sprint (basically a smaller version of the aweobie that doesn't end up in the trees quite as fast). Bought both again last week and again am impressed by how far these thins can go. Only problem, my daughter is too young and my wife not really interested and playing frisbie by yourself is somewhat dull.... I remembered that I also at some point had an aerobie boomerang. I was going to buy another brand as I remember I could never really make it work, but after a bit of research found it was the best selling boomerang in the world... apparently (maybe simple marketing worked its wonders on me). It arrived today and like a little child tried it out at a football field. First throw went straight to ground, second one way too high and after that it was fairly constant. Cought maybe 1/10 tries but this was certainly the first time I ever cought a boomerang. Very happy with it and thought I'd share my enthusiasm while it lasts...You can amend the flight a little by bending the wings but this needs a big field of open space, is flying really fast and very close to the ground for most of the time. It is rubberised so should not chop heads off but it's not a backyard toy either.I am confident I will have heaps of fun with it (until it ends up in a tree - like all aerobie products do at some point). Recommend it for mature enough ppl.

Being left handed makes this impossible to throw - or at least, try as I might, I found myself completely unable to do so. The little spurs on the corners face the wrong way when thrown with the left hand...This was despite watching all the videos by the experts, and going to the park for hours doing nothing more than looking like a total idiot!I had a right-handed friend who annoyingly got the hang of it very quickly. He has an old worn out one that he finds far easier to throw, for some bizarre reason.

Didn't work, so I threw it away.......it came back...It's great fun, I bought it for the kids, and they occasionally get a go :-)On a serious note, you do need quite a lot of space, more than the instructions advise, and if you're like me and a leftie, you need to throw it across your front (it's made for right handed folks).

Bought this as a dog toy for a Spaniel. She loves it. Because you can vary it’s flight, she can’t predict where it’ll go so it adds a mental dimension to her play. This use is perhaps not what the manufacturers intended but I’d recommend it. Being a soft mouthed dog it’s plenty tough enough for her to retrieve it without any damage.

Bought one for my son, it’s hard to get a great throw without adult power and to be honest it just isn’t that much fun as it’s a one trick pony. Stick to the small classic disc for use with youngsters.

Great quality. Comes with instruction on how to tune and throw. It takes to practise to get it to return, but the patience and practice it dies do as it says.

Great fun have to read the instructions to get it too return need a open space too recommend watch YouTube to master the technique 5 stars off fun

Vorweg : Ich baue seit rund 40 Jahren selber Bumerangs und kann sie auch werfen. Das Dreieck ist eigentlich ein verkappter Sechsflügler. Der Auftrieb wird hier aber hauptsächlich nur an drei Stellen durch eine abgeknickte Hinterkante erzielt . Bei Windstille fliegt er nur ca. 3/4 der Runde. Ein konstanter leichter Wind von links ist nötig damit er den Kreis schafft und gefangen werden kann. Ein Nachbau aus Holz mit Profilierung an den sechs (!) Seitenhälften (Profil mit Bevel ) führt sofort zu einem besseren Flugbild. Jetzt verhungert er nicht mehr unterwegs. Das Kauf-Modell ist also nicht wirklich gut konstruiert bzw. getunt. Für Anfänger meiner Meinung nach daher nur bedingt geeignet. Der Neuling ist mit einem Vierflügler - vorzugsweise aus Sperrholz (den ich hier auf Amazon auch schon gesehen habe) - wahrscheinlich besser bedient. Mehrflügler ( 3 - 8 Flügel ) sind flugtechnisch einfach viel unproblematischer als die klassischen Zweiender oder suboptimale Formen wie z.B. das Dreieck. Positiv anzumerken ist die durchaus brauchbare Wurfanleitung. Ein besser getuntes Flugmodell kann die Anleitung aber nicht ersetzen.

Das Teil fliegt echt super - auch Anfänger wie mir gelingen ziemlich geniale Moves und Stunts.Bei geschicktem Wurf fliegt der Aerobie Orbiter sogar nicht nur zurück, sondern fliegt sogar Dreiecksfiguren, d.h. der Bumerang fliegt nach vorne, dreht sich in der Luft, fliegt zur Seite, dreht sich noch einmal und fliegt weiter, dreht sich noch einmal und macht einen nächsten Turn, etc ...Ein Manko ist allerdings, dass er ohne geeignete Handschuhe nicht gefangene werden kann !!!!Die Seiten sind so scharf und dünn, dass einem wahrscheinlich bei ungeschicktem Fangen die Finger abgeschnitten werden können ... ???Ansonsten super Teil und ich kann den Kauf gerne weiter empfehlen ... !!!

Caveat: nessun boomerang è un oggetto facile da tirare, salvo non ci si aspetti che ritorni.Questo è particolarmente leggero, e fa un giro MOLTO ampio. Servono spazi grandi, ed è molto sensibile alle correnti d'aria. Dunque quando vi torna in mano stappate una bottiglia di spumante, o simili. Se invece siete in due un gioco divertente è che uno tira e l'altro corre. Una ginnastica completa, se ci si alterna. Un lato molto positivo è che vista la leggerezza non causa particolari danni se colpisce qualcuno. Al contraio di un vero boomerang.

Rückkehrgarantie nur garantiert wenn man fleißig übt.Ansonsten läuft man dem Bumerang nur hinterher um überhaupt eine chance zu haben ihn zu fangen.Was toll ist: wenn man ihn besonders kräftig wirft, macht er einen großen looping in luftiger höhe und dann noch einen kleinen looping knapp über dem boden. sieht sehr schön aus, man rennt aber viel hinterher, weil man nicht genau weiß wo er jetzt hinfliegt.Und haltet euch an den Baumabstand der auf dem Ding steht, weil er sonst garantiert im Baum landet.

It comes back kinda like a speeding bullet, but its better than not at all! Played on a large soccer field and had lots of fun just attempting to catch the return shot. Bought the other Aerobie products as well and enjoy ALL of them thoroughly over regular frisbees, which are too hard and difficult for kids to use. These are 100000% more fun!!

Beim ersten Wurf ist es mir schon ganz gut gelungen, vielleicht 10 Meter links vor mir gelandet. Und beim zweiten Wurf gleich gefangen. Danach legte der Wind zu und es wurde sehr schwer die Genauigkeit der ersten Würfe zu reproduzieren.Meine Freundin entdeckte, dass wenn man mit der Linken Hand über den Kopf abwirft, man weniger falsch machen kann.Abwurfwinkel und Höhe passen so besser. Musste sogar ich als Rechtswerfer einsehen.Man sollte auf die Beschreibung auf der Verpackung hören, lieber flacher und nicht zu steil abwerfen und vorallem nicht viel höher als Horizontlinie zielen.Die übrigen Bewertungen empfand ich als sehr widersprüchlich. Jeder Bummerang fliegt anders und man lernt es in der Regel nicht binnen Minuten!

Avevo un boomerang di forma normale, da anni, semplice semplice, di plastica, con cui mi trovavo bene. Poi si è rotto e ho voluto provare questo. Questo, dopo un paio di ore di pratica, ancora non gira. Perciò, anche ammesso che giri, ha caratteristiche tali che richiedono lanci di precisione e di conseguenza tempi di apprendimento lunghi. Al momento l'ho messo in garage e ne ho ordinato un altro di forma tradizionale.

Après avoir acheté un Frisbee de cette même marque (Aerobie) qui m'a époustouflé par la distance atteinte, j'ai voulu acheté le boomerang et là c'est une autre affaire.Après quelques lancers, il commence à avoir une direction incurvé mais ne revient pas à mes pieds. Il va falloir s’entraîner...Le point positif c'est la couleur FLUO qui permet de le retrouver aisément...

Fliegt wie es soll ^^ naja fast man muss schon üben aber es macht n heiden Spaß und wenn man es dann irgendwann kann, kommt er auch wunderbar wieder zurück so wie es soll und sieht genial aus.

This is a fun item to play with. I've tried many different angles and haven't been able to get it to come back to me but otherwise a really cool toy.

Exactly as expected. It takes s bit of practice but it really does come back. Fair warning it goes quite a distance when thrown so give yourself a good amount of space.

Auch meinem Sohn (11) konnte der Bumerang nach ein Paar Versuche jedes Mal so schmeissen, dass er zu uns zurückgekommen ist. Lediglich der Wind hat ihn woanders fliegen lassen. Die ganze Familie hat viel Spaß damit.

Hier muss man wirklich mit umgehen können. Materialeigenschaften sind gut. Kennen wir bereits von der Frisbee. Dennoch bringt es nicht den gewünschten spielspass.

Eins, zwei Probewürfe, dann funktioniert das Teil super und man kann es fast jedesmal wieder fangen. Super verarbeitet, man braucht sich keine Gedanken machen, dass das Fangen evtl. weh tun könnte, die Gummikante federt alles ab.
