AMY'S BREAD ROCKS
I LOVE THIS BOOK THE RECIPES COME OUT LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO. I have baked my way through most of this cookbook and have baked each one of her cakes at least 2 times. The German Chocolate Cake is one of the best recipes I have ever tried, I baked this cake three times already and everyone said it was the best German Chocolate Cake they have ever tasted. The Devils Food Cake Frosting is to die for, it alone was worth buying this cookbook, I will use this recipe for the rest of my life. The Red Velvet Cake had a perfect texture it was moist and light just like fluffy pillows. The Coconut Cream Cake had the most wonderful custard frosting that was easy to make and kept well for days in the refrigerator. I made the Yellow Cake with pink frosting for my granddaughter's birthday and it was a hit. I baked all the scone recipes in this cookbook and they all were easy to follow, great for breakfast.

The book is in excellent condition.
It took a really long time to come .Ordered December 16th and I just received it January 9th..I love the book and wish it had not taken so long to come. It looks brand new except for a note in the inside cover from previous owner... I am really happy it came.. Thanks Sandy

Our favorite Amy's items AT HOME, and so easy!
OK - we both bake. So, this isn't just a book of quickbreads and muffins; some of the recipes demand a little more experience, or lacking that, a sense of adventure and willingness to learn. But since I can't walk past Amy's without a Pecan Sticky Bun of a Cherry Cream or Banana Oat Scone or a Lemon Bar, it's a joy to be able to share these items with family and friends without breaking the bank (at $3 an item - reasonable, but not for a group). There's also a lot of interesting insights into how a professional bakery works (ingredient sourcing, adapting recipes up for huge batches or down for home use, the ebb and flow of life in the store) which makes it a n interesting read (for folks like me who actually read cookbooks for more than the ingredient list!) Also, the Amazon price is far less than the in-bakery price, so this book has been a bargain from the get-go! Enjoy!

Absolutely the best treats!
Fabulous recipes! I've baked more than a dozen from this book, and all have been completely perfect. I own a ridiculous number of cookbooks, but this one is easily the best for baked goods!

The Sweeter Side of Amy's Bread
This dessert book is great!! I visited Amy's Bread in Chelsea Market. I purchased a slice of the Devil's Food Cake from the bakery. It was amazing! After that, I purchased the book. I have baked the Devil's Food Cake recipe, German Chocolate Cake and biscotti. They all came out really delicious. The recipes are easy to follow, even though it does take some time to measure and incorporate the ingredients, it is worth the final product. I would highly recommend this book for anyone that wants to bake desserts and breads from scratch without eating any high fructose corn syrup and trans fats.

Best baking book ever
I have baked many recipes in this book and they have all been great. I have many cook books, but this is just about the best. Recipes work without adjustments and are delicious. Most recently I made the chocolate frosting. OMG it couldn't be better, just as described. Thank you Amy

best bread I ever made
I bought this after tasting Amy's oatmeal cookies at an office event.I made the Cranberry-Pumpkin-Walnut bread and it's the best bread I've ever made. I had to cook it longer than the recipe suggested, but I'll make it again any time.Looking forward to trying more in the book soon.

To die for Devil's Food Cake
I've made the two cakes on the front cover of the book. The pretty pink yellow cake and the retro devil's food cake. The pink cake is excellent but the Devil's Food Cake is to die for. The best ever. I found the icing a little too sweet but that's just me. But the chocolate cake...velvety, moist and melts in your mouth. Make it today! I will try it with the chocolate silk frosting next time.

Tolles Buch, absolute Kaufempfehlung!
Bei einem New York Trip sind mein Mann und ich auf die Bäckerei Amy's Bread gestoßen und haben fortan jeden Morgen unser Frühstück dort geholt, da wir so begeistert von den leckeren Backwaren waren.Zurück in Deutschland habe ich mir sofort dieses Buch gekauft. Toll, dass die Backwaren in der Bäckerei auch allesamt im Buch vertreten sind. Ich habe schon diverses ausprobiert, u.a. Cheese Biscuits, Scones, Erdnusskekse, Blaubeer- und Bananen-Walnuss-Muffins, ... und haben so toll wie in New York geschmeckt. Das Rezept der Cheese Biscuits musste ich bislang an alle weitergeben, die sie probiert haben. Alles ist sehr gut beschrieben und leicht zuzubereiten.Jedes Rezept hat eine kurze Einleitung, z.B. zur Entstehung, und macht dieses Buch sehr "liebenswert". Bedenken muss man, dass Angaben wie Fahrenheit, Inch, ... umgerechnet werden müssen. Gewichtsangaben sind aber u.a. auch in Gramm angegeben.Für dieses Buch kann ich nur eine absolute Kaufempfehlung geben!!!!!

Un libro imprescindible para hacer pastelería exquisita al modo de EE.UU.Amy's Bread es una pastelería que está en Manhattan y que me fascinó. El libro, una maravilla.

Magnifico libro
Es un gran libro con recetas buenísimas y muy bien explicadas, lo unico malo es que sin no controlas inglés tendrás que tirar del traductor de Google, por lo demás perfecto.
