I bought this for use in case of fire. Fortunately, I haven't had to use it yet. I like the idea that it is very portable, and provides for the ability to access it quickly when needed instead of getting the fire extinguisher. Based on the instructions provided on the package, it appears to be very easy to use. I also like that this can be reused. The packaging is good quality. For peace of mind and preparedness, every household should have at least 2 of these.

I tend to be overly prepared for accidents and things, "just in case". This was one of those things. I have fire extinguishers in the house, and the RV, but thought this makes sense to have, versus making a bigger mess, if the fire size could be handled. Hung it up in the pantry, so it's easy to get to, it's a security thing, insurance just in case stuff happens. Why would you not have this.

I bought this blanket in May 2020 and hung it in my kitchen pantry. On Christmas night 2023, I made my first-ever prime rib. I was broiling it to finish it, and it caught fire. Turning off the oven did not eliminate the fire. At first, I didn't know what to do, and then I remembered my fire blanket! I grabbed it off the hook in the pantry, opened it up and smothered the fire. The blanket worked great! I would rather replace the blanket than try to wash it and jeopardize its future effectiveness, so I came back to buy it again and thought I would report in the reviews that it worked great! I did not feel any effects of touching the blanket - I did not feel heat or discomfort from any fiberglass fibers that is reported in some reviews. Great buy!

Probably a lot to use than extinguishersSince there were two in my order, I gave one to my son and will order another one for my other son.

Thankfully, I haven’t needed to use these but they’re what I expected and leave room for other emergency supplies in my “go bag”.

Don't worry about forgetting directions - just place over fire - the flame will go out. Keep extra in smoker's rooms and vehicle.

While we have never had to use this, we got it just in case we needed it.

We used this blanket on a grill fire that was shooting flames out the back. We put the second blanket on and it immediately went out. So grateful these were on hand. Ordering four this time!

Vraiment content d'avoir fait le pas et d'acheté une couverture anti-feu. Elle trone juste a coté de la cuisinière, prête a l'emploi.Ce fut lors de la visite annuel des Pompiers, que ceux-ci m'ont conseiller d'acheter ce type de couverture, pas que les extincteurs ne soit pas bon, mais avec la couverture c'est plus simple.La deuxieme est dans mon VR, a coté du poele au propane.J'ai testé (sans feu), et l'extraction avec les deux languettes est facile. Le pliage pour la remise en place egalement.Je recommande ce produit
