not only does this look good, its heavy and helps with the function it is to perform. Big enough to grind spices and hold sufficient amounts. doesnt slide all over the counter due to weight. Perfect for my needs. Grandson loves mashing stuff in it.

I thought using a mortar and pestle would be time-consuming and tedious. I find myself using this far more frequently than I thought I would. It was a worthwhile purchase.

It's probably a little smaller than it should be, and I really need some way to hold it down unless I want to shake the whole thing it's sitting on. But I will admit some days it feels rather heavy and also it took me a while to start getting used to the processes. Anyway, having run out of acceptable sunflower powder products it was nice that this has enabled me to make my own daily. I'm also using it to grind up other things now like mustard and hemp.

I use this for turning eggshells into calcium powder for my aquariums and it's amazing! So easy to use and easy to clean! I definitely recommend.

Great set! Heavy, so it doesn’t scoot away while grinding. The bottom of the bowl inside is rounded just right and the sides are curved for lots of grinding space. The polished granite looks nice sitting out on my counter too.

I always wanted one of these, and it's a great tool for even irritating solutions, such as when brown sugar clumps up, but other recipes call for one of these, and it's just fun to use. Great conversation piece in my kitchen as well
