Celebrate the 15 year anniversary of one of TV's most successful show ever with this Friends Season 1 -10 box set, featuring more extras than you can shake a smelly cat at. Popular American sitcom Friends first appeared on our screens back in 1994, to little fanfare. The show followed the lives of six twenty-something singles--Monica (Courtney Cox), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Ross (David Schwimmer), and Chandler (Matthew Perry)--who occupied a trendy New York loft apartment. These were essentially six beautiful people who had probably never known a hard day's work in their lives, and whose every utterance was a well-crafted witticism. But despite their idealized lifestyles and perfectly coiffed hairdos, there was something annoyingly endearing about them. Viewers could easily relate to their struggles with work, sex, and relationships because these were universal struggles - albeit heightened for comedic effect. From early on it was clear that Friends had successfully tapped into the zeitgeist of its time, and now, 10 series down the line, the show's broad appeal continues to live on in popular culture. This box set contains every episode from season 1 to 10.

Sharp picture and excellent quality
This is a great 4K box set of friends it makes such a difference going from the standard definition DVDs to high definition with the sharpness of the picture and widescreen it's like put on a pair of glasses and seeing all detail of the episodes. The only thing I would like to see in the future is the extended episodes in 4k, there were so many great extended and deleted scenes. I highly recommend this box set to anyone who is a fan of friends.

With Friends Like Who Needs Enemies
A trip down memory lane and a laugh a minute, almost to the second. Funny, silly, and at times moving, great writing and excellent acting from the gang. The best joke, all ten seasons for £10.

I'm not going to review friends per se..
there must be almost as many column inches devoted to the show as hours spent on the telly airwaves. The package was adequate.the white box - in the picture - is pretty robust.all the discs worked - the annoying thing with a huge box set like this is that it could take a lifetime to find one episode that doesn't work. - I can't imagine many people would get the boxset and then go on some mammoth binge for days on end to check all thediscs. Each season has its own jewel case. with 4 discs each with 6 episodes on.I didn't try skipping to next chapters so don't know if that feature existed or was good or bad or what.I just put each disc in and let it roll.the quality was pretty good.I dont know if the versions I have are special or not - there was nothing outlandish on any of them and equally there didn't seem to be any noticeabe ' uh what happened there?' momnents.I said I wasnt going to review the shows etc but I am going to 'comment' one fact that never ceases to confound me. this series and practically every other long running series. I can remember the content of the episodes fairley well. What gets me is that I ge the sequence of the episodes all emssed up - and I am frequently aware of thinking' Oh I thought that happened later'ONE last thing. DO llok around and dont get he first listing you see - prices vary and even the same site will charge more or less over time. AND try to suss the better suppliers - I tried one and after a few 'dude - wheres mys discs' emails there was the 'we're having trouble with our suppliers' dance. culminating in them saying it'' be a couple of weeks if you want to wait OR you can I have a refund now. When I said I'd wait - they sent me a mail saying 'were giving you a refund...' You couldn't make it up. I suppose I should be thankful Igot money back and only wasted a bit of time.ACID TEST: would i buy this box set again - yes and from the last people i tried

Original broadcasts with great video/audio quality
I live in the USA, but I bought the U.K. version of this Blu-ray set back in 2012 because it was less expensive than the American version at the time. As far as I can tell, the discs and video are identical to the U.S. release. The packaging is a bit different, though. As other reviewers have stated, these are the original broadcast scripts without the added material on the DVDs. So, if you want the extended versions founds on the DVDs, then you might be disappointed in this set. If you want the original broadcast versions, then I highly recommend it. The video quality and widescreen presentation are very nice.I'm very pleased with this set. The video is the best that I've seen for this series, and the audio quality is great. The video detail of the earlier seasons isn't at the same level as modern shows, it's definitely better than the DVDs to me. (I actually like that the video isn't a lot more detailed than when I first saw it. The original Star Trek series is interesting to watch in HD, but you can tell that the make up job on the actors wasn't intended to be seen in HD.) I'm also very happy with the audio. I watched almost the entire original run on a 27" TV in stereo, so to watch it on a 50" TV and have it look so good and be in surround sound is awesome for me.I was disappointed that the DVDs didn't include the original broadcast versions (even as a viewing option), but that's because I had watched the original broadcasts with friends/family and liked the nostalgia of it. I own the first two seasons on DVD, but I don't watch them much because of that. However, for those of you who like the extra material, or who saw the show for the first time on DVD, I totally understand being disappointed that it isn't on the Blu-rays. It would be nice if the Blu-rays had the option to watch either version. For me, though, this release is perfect.
