The NYXLs stay bright and keep their tone noticeably longer than cheaper strings like basic Ernie Ball or Elixer. It does come at a more expensive price, though.

I love these strings. They have been very consistent. I can only tell they need to be changed when they no longer stay in tune and that takes a bit depending on play time. I use the 12-54 set on almost every electric I have. The relatively “slinky” 0.20 3rd string is a perfect compromise. They are a bit bright but I’m a firm believer in optimizing towards brightness because bringing that back in with eq will also add noise. And there are those under utilized volume and tone knobs that can tame things up as needed.

The only reason these didn't get 5 stars is the fact they aren't coated like elixirs but they have a good feel,I'm a diehard ghs boomers and elixirs strings and wanted to see what the hype is,it's just that,hype, these are your general strings but they have really good tone for non coated strings

Absolutely love these strings. I started using them when I bought my first Floyd Rose equipped guitar. These hold tuning extremely well once stretched in. Sound and feel great.
