The Holy Quran Arabic Text English Translation (English and Arabic Edition)

What I love about this book is that the author includes a lengthy introduction that goes into core concepts of Islam, which is great for beginners. It even has a small part about woman in Islam and how they are treated with respect and are equal with men. It also cites how the concepts of 4 wives is actually discouraged and it is used only in certain serious situations like for widows, especially in war situations. It teaches some Quran history, the concept of one religion, how the Quran came together, etc. It's a really enlightened view and expresses the basics with much beauty. The text contains the english on the left and the arabic to the right. I was looking at other Quran's like the study Quran (which I am ordering also) and it has the text and almost after every paragraph it has lengthy explanations of what you just read. This Quran is nice if you are looking to read something all the way through without having to stop and read all kinds of side notes. At the beginning and end, it already has very good notes, vocab, arabic alphabet, arabic words, arabic to biblical names, and much more. I highly recommend it! I'm even going to gift it to a family member whose a librarian. I bought the paperback and the leather back and I definitely like the leather back better. It's a tiny bit slimmer and easier to hold and it's got the classic beautiful biblical look with the soft leather, the gold book marker, and gold edged paper.

Even though I am Catholic, this Bible is so much easier to read and understand and I love it and highly recommend it.

I wish to point out that am not Muslim or an adherent to Islam. The reason I point this out, is in many faiths, like Islam and Judaism, the quality, make, and translation of the book is frequently a major deal. I do not wish to steer anyone away from this book as it serves its purposes for me, reference. I can't read Arabic (as much as Id like too), to tell you how good the translation is for religious uses, as Arabic is considered the perfect whole and truest translation.The book was certainly made on the cheaper on the side, but it seems like it will hold up, print seems of good quality, and like I said maybe a good book for the guests or reference.Studying religions is a hobby as I find it helps understand peoples, influence of thought, and the over arching idea that many of us are saying the same thing, just with different terms and different realities.I also wanted to know a little more the story of Muhammad (PBAH). I try my best to respect other religions so long as the same is afforded to me. ;)

I am an atheist. I do not believe in a god, but the words in the Qur’an are very teaching, shows a big part of history, and teach the Arabic language. This book is lovely. The leather binding is so soft, with the golden seal of Muhammad on the front. The fore-edge is a beautiful golden, and the words inside are unambiguous, small but easy to easy. The introduction teaches you a lot about the book and the language itself, preparing you for what you are about to read. I love this book and will spend the rest of my life reading it.
